A Preview of Life 2000

If you are anything like me, you occasionally get lost in the jungle of life. Attempts to live life fully in worship of the Creator and in effort to experience Him, can go awry. Walking the fine line of faithful servant-hood in the world, without becoming one with it... I admit that it's one art I have yet to master. But our good Lord never leaves us empty handed:
Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock into pieces? He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
We have a special opportunity to hear God's word this November 16-18 when Emmanuel Church will be hosting Life Conference. Dr. Rich Craven, senior pastor of the Church of the Savior, will be speaking on balancing grace and radical discipleship: Grace on Fire. It promises to be a blessed event bringing together believers from near and afar. Set aside those dates and tell others about it!
