Passion 98: "Live Worship from 268 Generation

Title: Passion: Live Worship from the 268 Generation.
Category: Live Worship.
Artist/Group: Passion, 268 Generation.
Rating:5/5
From the very first listen, I feel in love with the songs on this disc. Featuring a band calling themselves the 268 Generation (Isaiah 26:8), the band is dynamic and full of energy. The first track entitled, "Send Your Rain", is a fresh, accapella-acoustic mix; the crowd noise backgroud is a nice touch.

What is most interesting about the music is the presence of some very strong female vocals. Often times, they make the songs really come alive and soulful.

At Emmanuel, we've sang many of the songs featured on this CD. The most memorable Emmanuel event to my mind is Life 98, where we sang "Knocking on the Door of Heaven", a song about praying for and reaching out to our generation, and "Every Move I Make," or as Pastor Jong called it, the "La La Song." FYI we've also sang "Your Name is Above All Names" and "We Fall Down" throughout 1998 and 1999.

Discography:

  • Our Love Is Loud (2002)
  • One Day Live (2001)
  • Passion: the Road to Oneday (2000)
  • Passion: Better Is One Day (1999)
  • Passion: Live Worship from the 268 Generation
