CD Review: Vineyard UK: "Hungry (Falling On My Knees)"Title: Hungry (Falling on My Knees)
For me, money is definitely an issue. Nowadays, I preview CDs before buying because I can't afford to buy all of them, and some of the ones I've bought in the past have just been "okay". This CD, however, is well worth the money. You'll find songs you've probably heard, if not already sung, in a worship setting. These songs include "Humble King" and "Be the Center". As far as I know, these songs can only be found on this album. Another thing that makes this CD unique is that it doesn't have the typical Vineyard sound. Actually, the songs in this collection have an Irish influence - after all, it is Vineyard UK - with flutes and drums and such, which are kickin' by the way. Honestly, there isn't much insight I can give you about the songs in terms of music styles. I can only say that God has definitely used this album to bless me - and that's all I can ask of a CD.
Hungry (Falling on My Knees) | Your Name is Holy | Humble King | There's No One Like Our God | Make Your Home in Me | Child of God | Be the Center | All Creation | The Rhythm of Heaven | I Surrender | Only You | Refuge in You | You are a Holy God | Breathe
Responses to this Review: One of my alltime favorites, this CD made me become a UK Vineyard fan. From the very first time listening to Hungry, Humble King, Child of God, You are a Holy God, and Breathe, I was filled deep emotion, a feeling of passion for God that I hadn't encountered previously from listening to a CD. Having listened to All Creation, Your Name is Holy and Theres No one like our God played during service, I also found these 3 songs to be so joyful and simple yet powerful. Y.C.
What an awesome album. I love the gentleness of Vineyard Praise and Worship, and Vineyard UK hold the banner high when it comes to Praise and Worship. My favourite song on Hungry is Child of God. There is an awesome presence of God that comes when I sit and meditate on the words and melody of that song. Praise God for His gifts of creativity which is evident in this and other Vineyard UK albums. Daz
